The Village Scout Group comprises the Scout Troop, the Cub Pack and (very soon) the Beaver Colony, with ages from 6 to 14.
The emphasis is on fun, with an increasing element of responsibility as the children get older. Badge work covers an incredible array of subjects, with something for everyone with the Group. We enjoy annual swimming galas and chess tournaments, and also attend various Church services such as Remembrance Day.
Fund-raising includes bag-packs at local supermarkets, stalls at local events, and the ever-popular Scout Post at Christmas time.
If you have a child who would like to come and join us, please see below on how to contact us.

The Scouts enjoy everything they can, from Scout Camps to visits to the local Fire Station to rifle-shooting and archery, all while earning badges in subjects that they enjoy !
CUB PACK - Ages 8 to 10½
We meet every Tuesday at the village school from 7 to 8:15pm.
The Cubs always seem to be having fun, in everything that they do. They also go on camp, and undertake a wide range of activities that earns them badges for a whole range of subjects. Games are very popular, and some evenings are devoted entirely to just that !

The Beaver Colony is to re-open very shortly - just watch this space …… please email if you wish your child to join.
The Beaver colony is a vibrant, fun place to be for the younger children, with an emphasis on fun and friends. They even have a Friendship badge, which is just one of many.
