WI Meeting - December 2015

BOZEAT   W.I.

Carol Fearnley 663282

Our December meeting was a Christmas meal to which 25 ladies from Wollaston W.I joined us in the village hall.  Three men known as “We Three” entertained us, and during their performance they sung a ‘new’ W.I song which included reference to Jerusalem while wearing ladies hats.   Bridget once again cooked us a tasty Christmas treat.

Blue lights on a red & yellow emblazoned motorbike came to our January meeting, ridden by Alistair Borland MBE ~ chairman of SERV for Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Northamptonshire.

We were given a very interesting and informative talk about the organisation SERV, the Rapid Response Medical Transport Service which is organised by volunteers on their ‘blood’ motorbikes ~ an incredible service given during out-of-hours to the NHS by these bikers.

Our activity for the next three months is ::

9th March,  The Donkey Sanctuary by Maggie Taylor at 7.30pm in The Little Chapel, Dychurch Lane, Bozeat.

13th April,  Jackie will be talking on Womens’ Aid at 7.30pm in The Little Chapel, Dychurch Lane, Bozeat.

11th May,  With Wollaston W.I for a talk on the Atlantic Odyssey Challenge 7.30pm

Ladies & Gents.  If one of our Speakers’ topic interests you, please come and enjoy the evening at a cost of £4 and 50p for refreshments ~ we look forward to meeting you.
